Growing up in rural Armenia, I was surrounded by the serenity of rocky mountains, treasured farmland, and a community deeply rooted and connected to our land. As a young child, I naturally gravitated toward drawing what I observed around me—my grandfather's flower garden, our chickens, cows, goats, and pigs, the barn my father built, and many other aspects of our simple life.

It wasn't until my teenage years that I began painting, and it was no surprise that landscape painting became my passion. This fascination with capturing nature was further enriched by an incredible opportunity in college to study drawing and painting in France. Spending hours painting in vastly different landscapes—from the bustling city streets of Paris to a quiet, small village on the Mediterranean coast—I was captivated by the feeling of using color to interpret my surroundings.

While the mediums I work with may change day to day, the core inspiration of my work remains the deep connection to nature, and the privilege I feel in even the slightest attempt to capture its beauty.

I hope that all who view my work feel the same sense of joy and awe that has shaped my journey as an artist.

Love,
